Arizona Notary Public

To become an Arizona Notary Public, you must be a state resident at least 18 years old and not have felony conviction on your record.

Applicants must pay a $43 application and filing fee, as well as obtain a four-year $5,000 notary surety bond in duplicate form. The cost of the bond will vary. All paperwork must be submitted to the Secretary of State at the address found on the application form.

Prospective notaries can choose to pay a $25 expedited fee.
After obtaining your notary commission certificate, it is your responsibility to obtain a rubber notary seal. The seal must contain these five items:
1. The words "NOTARY PUBLIC";
2. The name of the county in which you are commissioned;
3. Your name exactly as it appears on the bond and the application form;
4. The expiration date of your commission; and
5. The Great Seal of Arizona.
